i know most of you will be going off to camp soon. Those going 18-up will be leaving tomorrow, and those going to YLDP will be leaving on wednesday! Dont know how many of you are in the camping mood but we pray that you all will experience God in your own way.We pray that this camp will help you gain a new experience of Him and this will expose you to the bigger perspective of life.

however, for all those who all involved in the choir practice, you are required to attend that practice on that day at 1500 hours.

List of Things To Bring :
· Writing materials : pen ,pencil, etc
· Water Bottle
· Toiletries : toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, soap , towel, etc
· Torchlight with fresh batteries.
· Enough clothes for the camp.( NO singlet or sleeveless T-shirts, No low cut shirts, bellytops , shorts must be at least mid thigh in length, NO skirts allowed, undergarments worn should not be seen )
· Plastic bags to store soiled clothes.
· Small foldable umbrella (in case of rain)
· Sleeping Bag, pillows. You may bring a light blanket if you need. It may feel stuffy in the tents when you first enter it but it can get very cold in the early mornings.
· Pocket money. ( just in case of emergency)
· Shoes and slippers.
· Insect repellant + sunblock.
If you bring Ipods, digital cameras or other gadgets, you do so at your own risk. CMC will not be held responsible if anything goes missing.

Travelling
1. Visit the toilet before departure. We want to avoid stopping on the way to Rawang.
2. All campers must be at CMC by 3p.m. on Friday (21st August 09) punctually.

Hey people! sorry for the lack of updates. =/

but anyway, as you all know our 1st ever Youth Camp is coming up!
For those who dont know about it ( its on the 21st - 24th August 09 in Rawang)
so, remember to bring in your camp forms with the RM 40 by this Saturday yea.
Closing date is on sunday, so if you cant make it on Sat, you must give it to us by Sunday.!!

And for those who havent given us your full name and i.c. no. please give it to either Teacher Aini or Gloria by This Saturday (15th Aug 09).

Hey people! =) Hope you all had a great week.!

Just some quick announcements.

1. There is NO choir practice tomorrow. Choir practice is next week ( 11th july 2009). Try your best to make it for practice k.We need your voices!! were practicing for our church's 10th anniversary btw. =)

2. For those in college and international schools, we need to know what dates you have holidays in the lovely month of AUGUST. Please give the dates to either Carmen or me(sarah) a.s.a.p.!Thank you! =)

3. This is for those who are in the august youth camp committee. We have a meeting tomorrow after the youth meeting.Were having dinner together ya. remember to think of the outline and your ideas for the camp!

New Garry's and Reubens birthday is coming!! Garry's is on the 8th of july(wed) while reubens birthday is on 11th(sat) xDD you all should know what to do right? =)

dress code: wear formal.. white shirt.. for the guys, its is preferable to wear long sleeves..
for the ladies.. a white formal top will be great..

Yea.about fathers.
I think God has blessed us with very different fathers. And even though sometimes we cant really see their love, im sure they love us ALOT! just that sometimes they dont know how to show it. Just remember they're doing what they feel is best for us. So during this Fathers day, maybe give ure dad a hug.Let him know that you appreciate and love him. Make him feel special =). And as ivan suggested maybe say a little prayer for your dad..

Most of us are really at a fix when it's the time to decide on a Father's Day gift. What to present a man who seems to have everything he wants? Do you realize that the time dad spends with his family is probably the most invaluable moments of his life?

Family Camp 09'

Christ Methodist Church Ampang is finally a decade years old!!
it was first established as Preaching Point in 1998.. and stated out with only a few ppl..
it has been thru alot in the last ten years to become what is it today..
just 4 days ago, we had our family camp at Sri Pengantin..de whole place was just awesome..
small yes.. but just enough for the whole church and their family to settle in for 3magnificent days..
this year was a bit diff.. Rosalind had invited Emily and Cephas from Grace Sentul Church to help organize the games and activities for the kids.. the both of them were just simply awesome..
the camp wouldnt be much of it if there wasnt a speaker.. this year CMC invited an anonymous speaker to speak at the camp..
nobody knew much of the speaker.. not even name..
and much to our dismay.. she was the best speaker CMC had ever invited to speak at the camp..i don;t know about you .. but she was simply de bomb... yes you've heard she's a SHE.. and her name is Annette Anulrajah..you can find her in facebook.. or just search her name in any of our facebook acc..[hint.. of course add us first la..LOL]
it was good to know that church members who werent always at our family camp actually showed up this year..
it was a good chance for each of us to just interact and get to know each other better
de pool at Sri Pengantin, i must say was one of a kind..
NATURAL WATER!! woots~!
played water polo in it..man..
got back home with rashes..
LOL!!
these are just my thoughts and opinions on the whole 3days family camp.. hear what others have to say as well and you'll know what i mean
in all things said.. this year's family camp was definitely an awesome one
happy 10th birthday CMC!!!

i know.. after reading the title of this post.. you prolly be thinking, "...finally an update!!"

thats of course if you are following this blog..

aneeway..

16 to the 18 of March was the time where kids or should i say students aged 7 to 17, would be holiday-'ing' o should i say enjoying their time at home doing nothing...the whole week that is..

but not for the youth group of CMC Ampang...it is around this time of the year where our church will be hosting the Vacation Bible School, VBS for kids..

the youth group, as to speak, helped contribute their time and effort in making this, what i like to call, "little-project" a success yet another year..

of course all the success can not come to pass if not for the teachers..

here's a sneak preview of 'WHAT' and 'HOW' the little-project was carried out..

5th January 2009...1819 hours

on the 3rd January, the youth of CMC Ampang had a party at Aini Ling's ( one of the youth council/teacher ) house.. it was great, infact the best moment

a total of 17 youths attended the party.. amongst them were Alicia, Bryan, Eric, Jonathan, Rachael, Su'Ann, Kevin, Ishak, Reuben, KarMun, Michelle, Becky, Sarah and myself...O.o ok not exactly 17 but its more than 10 at least.. also teachers that participated that evening were Gloria, Teacher Aileen, Shanna Lim (keke.. my mum), and Cindy (Eric's mum-a very funny mum)

at the party everyone enjoyed themselves..time was not at our side though.. it all ended so fast..

well you know what they say.. time passed by when your having fun..

Also Eric gave his testimony on his experience at camps and encouraged the rest of the youths there to participate in these camps to experience God..

On behalf of the youths that attended the party that nite, v would like to thank Teacher Aini and her sis in having this party for the youth and opening their home to those who overnighted there that nite..
